Responsibly Produced Dog Harnesses and Leashes
GOTO-Sportwear was founded out of our love of animals and their welfare and our worries for the future of our Planet. We produce durable, responsible and super-recyclable products that are loved by our dog friends ♥
Accessories for dogs are used constantly by their owners, which means all the materials used in these products need to be strong and durable. We believe that making our products last is part of our commitment to our customers.
Fabric Made Out of Recycled Materials Withstands Wear
GOTO-Sportwear is part of the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, which is a unique collaborative community that works with ocean clean-up programmes around the world, raising awareness of the issue of marine plastic pollution and highlighting the heroes who are working to solve it.
We use SEAQUAL® YARN – material in all our products. It’s made from 10% SEAQUAL® MARINE PLASTIC and 90% post-consumer PET from land sources. The buckles of our products are made from recycled polyamide.
Every part of our products has been chosen to ensure that they are as responsible and durable as possible.
GOTO-Sportwear Products Don’t End Up as Waste
Because we don’t wish our products to end up as a litter burden to our Planet, we buy our products back from consumers at the end of the life-cycle of the product. We even do this when the consumer doesn’t have a need for the product anymore.
Repurchased products are sold to new customers or used as a material for new products, depending on the condition of the product.
Achieving this goal requires some effort from our customers, but we have made the process as easy as possible. Responsibility is achieved through cooperation, after all 😉
Responsibility Requires Continuous Development and New Information
Our production processes are constantly under review. We are always actively seeking new information about more durable choices. For example, we are always looking to minimise waste when we cut our products to size. Our goal is to use 100% of the materials we acquire.
Sometimes it’s hard to find responsibly produced and durable materials. In these situations, we need to be creative – if you can’t find responsible and durable square tape, for example, you have to make it yourself!
Designed and Made in Europe
Our products are designed in Finland and on the Island of Madeira, and made in Europe. Our factories are located in the EU and all our materials are acquired from Europe.
We’ve made sure that the production teams in the factories we engage enjoy reasonable working conditions and are paid appropriately. In addition to being responsible towards the environment, we also take responsibility for social and economic issues.
